Eulogy for Kate Kate discarded her life with the hedonism in which a wealthy man loosens his billfold in a brothel.

It's tempting to think she was depressed, and somehow we all just missed it. It's not coincidental that those still clinging to this belief are the people most hurt by Kate. Such aspersions come at the cost of Kate's integrity, and I hope to dispel them in this eulogy. The discomfort I can bring in defending Kate's honour is my own selfish indulgence. Kate's own justifications were enough for her, she wouldn't care how people portrayed her after she was dead. She would have laughed at the futility of
